Common questions

Everything you need to know before installing.

Yes. The app authenticates using BBIT student credentials. Only registered hostel students of BBIT can log in and use the system.
Only college authorities (wardens and gate security) can view your gatepass data. All data is encrypted. No third party has access.
Once approved and the QR is generated, it can be displayed offline. The guard's scanner verifies it against the campus server in real time.
Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher. Tested on Android 8 through Android 15 and works on most modern smartphones.
Settings → Security → Install Unknown Apps → Select your browser → Enable "Allow from this source". Then tap the APK to install.
Contact your hostel warden or the BBIT IT helpdesk to reset credentials. The app uses the same login as your college portal.
